It’s finally time again! Sunday afternoon and our Viktoria is back on the pitch in the Regional league North-East. After the last test match against St. Pauli (3-0), Himmelblau also showed their hunger for the new season against Türkiyemspor. FC Viktoria secured a 4-1 win in Kreuzberg!
Early Goal for FC Viktoria Berlin
Viktoria didn’t have to wait long for their first goal of the 2024/25 season. Just five minutes in, Nina Ehegötz scored the first goal, setting the tone for the game. Kim Urbanek tested the Türkiyemspor goalkeeper shortly after, but she was able to make the save (14’), and just a little later, Trinity Künzel hit the crossbar (19’).
Viktoria dominated the match, with little seen from Türkiyemspor, as they barely made it into the Himmelblau penalty area. To add to their bad luck, in their own box, a Türkiyemspor player handled the ball after a corner. No doubt about it, penalty. Centreback Anna Höfker stepped up and confidently converted the penalty to make the 2-0 (33’).

The goals then came at ten-minute intervals: Urbanek finally got her first goal of the season (43’), and shortly after halftime, she made it 4-0 (53’). However, one of the goals in this sequence went to Türkiyemspor, who were also awarded a penalty after a foul and converted it (64’).
That goal, though, was nothing more than a consolation: while substitute Eunice Beckmann hit the post (81’), and Leyila Aydin forced the keeper into a save (86’), no further goals were scored.
A solid victory to kick off the season for our players, and the first three points are on the board! Next week, FC Viktoria will travel to Jena to face FC Carl Zeiss Jena’s U20 team. Kick-off is at 2 pm – we look forward to seeing you there!
